My fee is £60 for 50min session via Zoom or face to face. I can offer concessions if you feel unable to pay this, so please do ask. It can be difficult to find the right therapist, therefore the first step is to talk on the phone or via zoom so we can find out a bit more about each other.

Welcome to my siteYou have taken the first steps to making the changes you want to make in your life. I am a counsellor/psychotherapist working with adults one to one in therapy and run workshops on various issues such as anxiety, self-esteem and the menopause. 

My site is designed to introduce you to my practice explore whatever issues you are going through and help you arrange a first session. There are many reasons why people choose to come to therapy. Whatever the difficulties you are facing it can be helpful to talk to someone outside of your daily life. I believe passionately that people have the ability to grow and change, no matter how difficult their situation may seem. However, you don’t have to be on the verge of crisis to have therapy. Therapy can help people find new ways to be with their emotions and as a result break free of unhelpful patterns and realise their individual potential. 

My approach

I approach every person as unique and that while one therapeutic approach may be very helpful for a particular person for another it might not be. I focus on understanding relational patterns: alongside taking into account the wholeness of our being; body and mind. I draw on person centre, Transactional analysis (TA) Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and psychodynamic principles. The therapy can focus on the here and now or on how our past experiences are affecting our day to day life. We might bring in mindfulness by focusing on the breath and learn to become aware of the emotions and feelings we told in our bodies; to help bring more balance to your emotional life.  Through a relationship between us which is supportive but challenging we can explore how we relate to others and find more creative ways to live our lives. 

Who I work with?I offer both short and long term with people depending on what it is you have brought to therapy. This might include: ·      
  • Help to cope with issues anxiety or depression·      
  • Painful emotions or facing difficult decisions·      
  • You want to improve or change your relationships·      
  • You’d like to develop a better understanding of yourself or others.·
  • Perhaps something unsettling has happened, such as a bereavement, redundancy, or health problems. ·     
  •  There may be something in your past such as a traumatic event that’s not been dealt with and is now interfering with your daily life. ·      
  • A life events such as the menopause ·      
  • Experiencing psychological difficulties due to dyslexia.
